Reorganisation

Written by The White Cobras at 12:35 31/12-2022

After several years of absent management where The White Cobras have been out of the world of cycling they are back! Previous manager Ceasar, has managed to secure funding from several sponsors to revive this team. The most notable of these sponsors is Bad News Threads Tailors, providing the kit for the team as well as the funds to see through the remainder of Season 63. Ceasar is confident that he can secure funding for next season and beyond.

Many of the riders that were in the original team have now retired from professional racing and have left the team. White Cobras would like to thank these riders who helped to forge the team from its origins:

  Simon Wade
  Emil Ranken
  Hartley Krum
  Colin Widdington
  Harlan Trine
  Merlin Junor
  Fergus Lauerman

Three riders from the original squad remain, although Bevis Golchert and Cirilo Mardomingo have both announced that they are considering retirement by the end of next season at the latest. They may bring it forward to the end of the current season however. The other rider, Hale Vandyke is set to be with the team for the next few seasons as we hope that he becomes a late bloomer in the cycling world. He shows very good promise in sprint races and could have the potential of leading the team in future sprints should he reach his potential.

Nine new riders have been hired in the reorganisation of The Cobras. These riders at different stages of their career, with some older riders starting to wind down coming to support the younger riders and help in their development. The most promising of these riders is Connor Cosier, a young 20 year old who has strong potential in sprints. If he reaches his max potential he could become the teams captain for many seasons to come.

The return of the team into the world of cycling has been a good and strong start, with several results in the lower divisions propelling the team to its highest ever position in Division 5. Several of these results were courtesy of having no other competition in the lowest leagues, with the team locking out the top 6 on several occasions. The large and easy haul of points from these situations has left the team debating whether they have found themselves in a division too high to compete in. However, time will only tell and manager, Ceasar, has high hopes and expectations.
